FAQ- Northwestern Medicine Pediatric TytoHome Program

Frequently Asked Questions

“You can login to MyNM and request a Tyto visit to connect to Northwestern Medicine clinician and get an appointment for diagnosis and treatment.”

How do I request a TytoCare visit?
  • When your child needs care, login to the MyNM app and go to your child’s account. You will then send your pediatrician a message titled “TYTOCARE VISIT” to let them know that you need to be seen. A triage nurse will then reach out to confirm a TytoCare visit is applicable and get you scheduled.
What kind of conditions can I use this for??
  • Allergies, asthma, bronchitis, bug bites, cold and flu, constipation, ear infections, fever, nausea and vomiting, pink eye, rashes, sore throat, headaches or sinus issues, and upper respiratory infections.
Do you know when to use TytoCare?
  • You can use TytoCare at the first sign of illness or symptoms. During your TytoCare appointment, the Northwestern Medicine clinician can give you a diagnosis, treatment plan, and prescription if needed. If you’re experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
How will my data and privacy be protected?
  • All the data is encrypted and the TytoCare platform is HIPAA-compliant. The app does request location access (when first launched) for pairing purposes, but it’s not used for continuous geo-tracking. The app and device do not record your location outside of the app.
