Set up your TytoHome

This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for setting up TytoHome for the first time.

Plug in your TytoHome Device

Before you get started, plug in your TytoHome Device for 30 minutes to charge it and have your Wi-Fi password ready.

Step 1: Download the Tytocare app

NOTE: DO NOT create a TytoCare account in the TytoCare App. It will be created automatically via your MyNM account.
Download the TytoCare app via Apple or Android.

Download the MyNM® app & Activate your TytoDevice

Step 1: Download the MyNM® app

If it’s your first time, please download MyChart via Apple or Android.
if you do not have a MyNM account, click or tap here.

Step 2: Sign into your MyNM app and choose Launch Tytocare

Open the menu and Tap ‘Launch TytoCare’. Follow the in-app instructions to complete device setup and pairing.

Step 3: Tap ‘Experience Tyto’ to finish the activation process

With your personal TytoCare virtual assistant – Emma! You’ll learn how to use your Tyto-Home device so you’re ready for when you need a remote exam with a Northwestern Medicine clinician.

Hint: It’ll take less than 10 minutes!

Schedule a TytoCare Virtual visit

Step 1: Send a MyChart message

Login to your MyNM app and send a MyChart message to your pediatrician with the subject line ‘TYTOCARE VISIT’ in all capital letters.

Step 2: Triage nurses will call you

One of our Triage nurses will call you back to ask about your family member’s symptoms. This helps us decide if a virtual or in-office visit is best for you.

Before you start your TytoCare virtual visit

Step 1: Preparation

Make sure your TytoHome device is charged and set up.

Step 2: Begin your TytoCare visit

Step 3: Completing your e-Check in

After completing the e-Check in process, you will be placed in a virtual waiting room. When the clinician is ready to see you, tap ‘Join Now”.
