Troubleshooting: Error 30001 – Poor Wi-Fi Reception

Technical Breakdown

Code 30001
Type Warning / Error
Category Network
Message Are you on a wireless connection? It seems like the reception at your position isn’t great.

What is this about?

Our tests have detected that you are likely using a Wi-Fi connection with sub-optimal signal strength. When a device is too far from the access point or separated by thick walls, the data packets required for a video call cannot travel efficiently.

Potential Risks

Poor reception causes “network bursts” and short disruptions. This typically manifests as random video freezes and audio stuttering, which can make a clinical examination difficult to conduct.

Suggested Actions to Take

  • Switch to Ethernet: If you are in a fixed location (like an office or clinic), a wired Ethernet cable is the most stable solution for medical video calls.
  • Improve Proximity: Move your device closer to the Wi-Fi router. Direct line-of-sight to the router provides the best results.
  • Check for Obstructions: Large metal objects, appliances, or thick concrete walls can significantly block Wi-Fi signals. Try moving to a different room.
  • Minimize Network Load: Ensure other devices on the same Wi-Fi are not performing high-bandwidth tasks like software updates or 4K streaming during the visit.
