Tyto quick start guide

“This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for setting up TytoHome for the first time. It also offers an overview of how to use Tyto to perform a telehealth examination and consult with a doctor, all from the comfort of your home!”

Setting up TytoCare

Step 1: Download the Tytocare App

Note: Don’t create a TytoCare account. It will be created automatically via your myChart account.

Step 2: Download the MyChart App

You must have a Novant Health MyChart account to use TytoCare.
Download the MyChart app on your smartphone or tablet.
Log in or create a MyChart account.

Step 3: Open the MyChart app & find TytoCare

In the MyChart app, open the menu and tap on the “TytoHome Setup option”.

Step 4: Set up TytoCare

Follow the instructions in the TytoCare app to complete the setup before your first visit.

Schedule a visit

Once you’ve completed the required activation (see Quick Start Guide on the reverse), you can carry out a video visit.

Step 1: Open the MyChart app

After setup, log in to MyChart, select the account for the individual who needs an appointment (either yourself or a family member who sees an AHN provider), open the menu, and go to ‘Appointments and Past Visits’. Select ‘Schedule an Appointment’, choose ‘TytoCare’ in the ‘Reason for Visit’ section, and complete the scheduling process.

Step 2: Complete eCheck-In for your appointment.

Up to 15 minutes prior to your appointment log in to the MyChart app, go to ‘Appointments and Past Visits’. Click ‘eCheck-In’ for your upcoming TytoCare appointment, review and fill out each page. Once done, click ‘Join Video Visit’ to proceed.

Step 3: Begin your TytoCare visit

The TytoCare app will launch and you will be entered into a waiting room and notified when it is time to join your visit. Ensure your device is on and push notifications are enabled for the MyChart app to receive visit updates.
